The Supreme Court on Friday directed the Counsels for AIIMS Jodhpur and AIIMS Bhubaneshwar to appear before it on the next date of hearing over a petition seeking introduction of a roaster system for the admission of students amongst colleges used by JIPMER.
The Apex Court passed the order on a plea filed by the Students Association of AIIMS Bhopal.
Advocate Arvind Datar informed the Bench that the Court had earlier said that they can have any fair system. “However, they say that you get an order from the Supreme Court,” noted the plea.
The Counsel appearing for AIIMS informed the Bench that they will introduce a system based on the JIPMER system for institutional preference.
The bench said they’ll pass the orders next week and asked the Counsel to get instructions from Jodhpur and Bhuvneshwar before next Friday.
