Supreme Court Asks Delhi Govt To Pay For Delhi-Meerut Corridor Construction

The Supreme Court has directed the Delhi government to release Rs 265 crores from the environment cess collected from vehicle entering the capital as the delhi government’s contribution for the construction of the Delhi-Meerut corridor.

In the case of the Delhi—alwar and delhi panipat, the corridor committees have been asked to sumbit implementation planm within two weeks, a bench comprising Justices Arun Mishra and Deepak Gupta while dealing with a writ petition from MC Mehta relating to air pollution matters, with particular reference to pollution from industrial, vehicular and power station emission.
