The Supreme Court on Thursday issued notice to the Central Government on a petition alleging step-motherly treatment to the technical support staff working with various Consumer Forums and Commissions across the country.
The Apex Court directed the matter to be listed after four weeks and requested ASG Sanjay Jain to apprise the Court over the issue.
The technical and other staff working with Consumer fora had sought parity with the staff working with other judicial Forums/Commissions, such as the High Court, District Court, NCLT, NCDRC, Human Right Commission and NCW, alleging that step-motherly treatment was meted out to them.
