Supreme Court judges have decided to take a break from their judiciary duties and indulge in a three-day retreat at Bhopal. This would be 4th such retreat ever planned, the last being in 2009.
This special retreat has been planned at Bhopal Judicial Academy, which is spread across 63 acres in the outskirts of the city, and is equipped with gymnasium, swimming pool, sauna, tennis, billiards besides a 280-seater state- of-the-art auditorium and conference and seminar rooms.
As per reports, all 25 apex court judges have been mandated to attend this retreat.
RBI governor Raghuram Rajan along with NSA Ajit Doval among other experts from the fields of business and education are scheduled to give speeches during this retreat. President Pranab Mukherjee will give concluding speech on April 16th.
Some of the topics which judges would be discussing include: global terrorism, economic growth globalization, climate change and key environmental challenges.
