New Delhi: A letter petition has been placed before the Chief Justice of the Patna High Court seeking transfer of investigation from the Patna State Police to the CBI in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, according to reports reaching here.
The petition has been written by Advocate Pawan Prakash Pathak and Gauraw Kumar and states that investigations being carried out by Bihar and Maharashtra Police have raised a number of serious questions in the minds of public and it is now not clear whether it was a murder or a suicide.
It has further been stated that in order to ascertain the facts it is essential that a thorough, fair and impartial investigation be done in order to serve justice to the deceased, his family and his fans.
It has also been stated that there are two states investigating the same matter and in the interest of justice there should be single investigation agency which is not possible as the Bihar Police and the Maharashtra Police are not collaborating with each other.
Hence in the in the interest of justice, equity and good conscience, it is has been prayed that the Letter Petition be treated as a Public Interest Litigation seeking transfer of investigation from State agency to CBI OR SIT Inquiry.
