The Delhi High Court on Monday (Jan 21) issued notice to Delhi Minorities Commission and sought reply on why a dress code can’t be allowed in various exams conducted by the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB).

At today’s hearing, petitioner and Chairman of DSSSB told the single-judge bench of Justice Vibhu Bakhru that the dress code was implemented only to prevent cheating in exams.

“In this era of technology, candidates have been many times found using Bluetooth devices, cellphones hidden in their attires that is used for cheating or leaking the question paper,” the petitioner contented.

The matter will be again heard again on March 28.
