The special CBI court on Tuesday extended the judicial custody of Mr. Ratul Puri, Nephew of the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Mr. Kamal Nath in the matter pertaining to Augusta Westland Chopper Scam. The alleged involvement of Mr. Puri was disclosed by Mr. Rajiv Saxena who became Government Witness after getting questioned by the ED.
Ratul Puri has been produced before the CBI Special Judge Arvind Kumar who extended his Judicial Remand.
Earlier the Court had on 19 September remanded Puri to the Judicial Custody till 1st October 2019 in a Money Laundering Case and now they have extended the custody till 15th October, 2019.
The counsel for Mr. Puri has sought the extension of the facilities in the jail as been requested previously. Mr. Puri who has been on the medical treatment have been asked to be given the medical requirement as according to needs.
The Court would further hear the matter on 15th October, 2019.
