In yet another blow to Rajya Sabha MP and Businessman Vijay Mallya, a local court in Hyderabad has issued a non-bailable warrant against him. The 11th Special Magistrate court at Erramanzil, Hyderabad, issued this warrant after Mallya failed to appear in the court in connection with bounced cheque case amounting to Rs 50 lakh to GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL).
Besides Vijay Mallya, the court has issued non-bailable warrant against Chief Financial Officer of Kingfisher, A.Raghunath in this alleged ‘cheating case’.
This case was filed by GHIAL after 2 cheques amounting to Rs 50 lakh issued by Kingfisher Airlines bounced.
This is the second non-bailable warrant issued against Mallya within a week.

On April 19th, a special Prevention of Money Laundering Act court had issued a non-bailable warrant against Mallya after Kingfisher’s plea was rejected. Enforcement Directorate had claimed that Vijay Mallya siphoned-off Rs 430 crore which was a bank loan, and used it to buy real estate properties overseas.
