Justice Vikramjit Sen of the Supreme Court is heading an enquiry panel to impeach Justice SK Gangele of the MP High Court, who is accused of harassment of Additional District Judge Sangeeta Madan. The chief justice of the Calcutta High Court, Justice Manjula Chellur is the other member in the three-member committee. Gangele will be the first judge in the history of the MP High Court who is facing impeachment proceedings. Incidentally, India Legal had, on August 17, 2014, carried Madan’s letter to then Chief Justice of India RM Lodha, where she had complained of this harassment.
