The Patiala House Court is hearing a petition filed by Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) against Arvind Kejriwal and former cricketer and BJP MP Kirti Azad for making defamatory statements alleging that DDCA officials sought sexual favours.

On Thursday (April 5), Azad’s counsel said that the then Vice-Chairman Chetan Chauhan was removed from the post for personally assaulting the DDCA officials and that Chauhan himself had said that three agencies were already investigating the incident in which DDCA officials sought sexual favours.

Kejriwal’s counsel also agreed to the contentions of Azad’s counsel and said: “The DDCA’s unknown officer was charged but till now the unknown officer was not found. These two are not directly charged.”

Chauhan’s counsel refuted the contentions of both the counsels and said that Chauhan can’t be charged as he has been removed from the post of Vice-Chairman.

The Court reserved the order for the next hearing to April 19, 2018.
