The Delhi High Court on Tuesday (January 9) has granted bail to Yogesh Mittal, a close aide of lawyer, Rohit Tandon, on charges of money laundering.
The bench of Justices S Murlidhar and I S Mehta was acting on the plea filed by Mittal seeking bail in connection with a money laundering case. Mittal has been facing charges for converting demonetised notes into valid currency.
The bench granted bail on certain conditions such as Mittal should submit his passport to the investigating agency and he should not leave the country and even if he wants to leave he will have to take permission from the concerned court.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on June 6 had arrested Mittal. Earlier, ED had attached movable and immovable properties worth Rs. 6,84,26,500 of Tandon also accused of converting demonetised notes into valid currency.
