Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal has kept up his interference into every small decision that the Delhi government of Arvind Kejriwal takes. This time he has found fault with a panel of eminent lawyers that the government has constituted to fight cases on its behalf before the Delhi High Court as well as to give legal opinion.

A letter from the Principal Secretary to the Lt. Governor (see below),  addressed to the Chief Secretary of Delhi, Anshu Prakash, says that the empanelment was done without prior approval of the Lt. Governor.

The Government of Delhi had constituted a panel of 13 senior advocates in 2017 which included the likes of Indira Jaising, Colin Gonsalves, Rebecca John, Anoop George Chaudhari, Sanjay Hegde and Anand Grover etc.
