DMRC-CISF spat: Case comes to Delhi High Court

Delhi HC orders JNU not to take any coercive steps against Kanhaiya Kumar till next hearing

The Delhi High Court is hearing a plea seeking directions to initiate an enquiry into the incident in which DMRC officials and CISF personnel had an altercation following which metro rail services were suspended for around an hour at Dwarka Sector 21 metro rail station.

On Monday (June 4), the bench of Justices P S Teji and Pratibha M Singh was informed by DMRC and CISF that they have lodged two FIRs and also set up an internal inquiry against the DMRC official and CISF officials.

CISF informed the bench that they have taken action against the CISF employee involved in the fight and suspended him after the incident.

DMRC apprised the bench that they have secured the CCTV footage of the Sector 21 Dwarka Metro Station to enquire into the matter and CCTV footage has been by the Delhi Police and CISF.

The bench listed the matter for next hearing to July 5, 2018.
