Delhi HC orders JNU not to take any coercive steps against Kanhaiya Kumar till next hearing

Former diplomat Madhuri Gupta, who was sentenced to three years imprisonment and fined Rs 25,000 for transferring intelligence information to a Pakistani intelligence agency, has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court.

Hearing on Gupta’s appeal will be in the first week of September.

At present the high court has granted bail to Gupta.

On April 22, 2010 Madhuri was arrested by the Special Cell of Delhi Police. Gupta was accused of providing secret information to Pakistani officials and staying in touch with two ISI officials Mubshar Raja Rana and Jamshed.
