Vinay Kumar Bansal, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s late brother-in-law Surender Kumar Bansal’s son, on Wednesday (June 6) moved an application to withdraw his bail plea from the Delhi High Court. The plea was accepted by the court.
Vinay was arrested by the Anti Corruption Branch (ACB) of the government in connection with a PWD construction scam and is currently in judicial custody. He is accused of submitting fake bills to claim money for construction work.
Vinay had earlier moved the high court after a trial court dismissed his bail application on May 17 on grounds that the allegations levelled against him were grave.
