Delhi HC

The mother of a missing girl had filed a habeas corpus petition before the Delhi High Court which had asked the police to investigate. On Wednesday (June 20) Delhi Police filed a status report before the bench of Justices A K Chawla and Navin Chawla saying that the girl was married to a person and the two were living together.

The bench was shown photographs from WhatsApp by the police but this was considered proof enough. So the bench issued a new notice to the police asking them to file a fresh stats report in regards to the proof of marriage.

The matter was adjourned to July 25.
