NGT asks for analysis report on alleged human excreta samples

In an interesting development a petition has come before the National Green Tribunal (NGT) in which it has been alleged that airlines throw human excreta onto the ground before landing. Though technology is sufficiently advanced today to not require this, but the NGT has ordered a test of the samples.

The NGT bench headed by Justice Swantanter Kumar and comprising of Justices Jawad Rahim, Raghuvendra S Rathore and Bikram Singh Sajwan on Tuesday (December 5) was informed by the petitioner that inspection was carried out and the samples have been send to Hyderabad for analysis.

The petitioner also submitted that that by visual observation it appeared to be black and yellowish. However the samples have been sent to Hyderabad for analysis of Uric acid.

The bench asked the petitioner to submit the analysis report. The bench also asked the petitioner to file a detailed affidavit within one week and provide the copy to the respondents and the respondents shall also file their affidavit thereafter.
