The Patiala House Court on Saturday (March 31) instructed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to provide the remaining documents in the money laundering case involving Lalu Prasad Yadav’s daughter Misa Bharti and her husband Shailesh Kumar and others.

The court also summons warrant against the other accused Santosh Shah, who is currently lodged in Ranchi jail, directing him to appear before it on May 7. The matter was listed for next hearing on that date.

On the previous hearing, the court had granted bail to Bharti and husband on the basis that they would not leave the country without permission.

According to Bharti, the company which came under ED’s investigation was being run by her husband and one CA. The CA has died.

ED says Bharti and her husband were actively involved in the laundering of approximately Rs 1.2 crore through shell companies.

ED had filed a chargesheet against Bharti and husband in which both were made accused.
