The Supreme Court bench of Justices R K Agrawal and A M Sapre on Monday (December 11) dismissed a plea seeking cancellation of the anticipatory bail granted to the Ryan International School trustees—Ryan Pinto, Augustine Pinto  and Grace Pinto.

The bench was hearing a petition filed by Barun Chandra Thakur, father of the seven-year-old Pradyuman Thakur, who was found dead in the washroom of the school in Gurugram

The court had earlier on December 6 reserved its decision on Thakur’s plea.

The Punjab and Haryana high Court, on November 21, had granted bail to Ryan International Group CEO Ryan Pinto, founding chairman, Augustine Pinto and managing director Grace Pinto.

Pradyuman was found in the school’s washroom with his throat slit on September 8. The school’s bus conductor Ashok Kumar was arrested by Haryana Police in connection with the murder, but was later granted bail by court.

The case, subsequently was then transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation. The case took a shocking turn when a class 11 student of the same school was apprehended by the investigating agency in connection with the crime.
