Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud on Wednesday led the Supreme Court judges, officers and staff members of the Registry in celebrating the 9th International Yoga Day at the Apex Court premises.
Held at 8:30 am at the Yoga and Recreation Hall, located on the fourth floor of ‘A’ Block in Additional Building Complex of the Apex Court, the event witnessed participation from the CJI, judges of the Apex Court, along with the officers and staff members of the Registry.
Earlier on March 23, CJI Chandrachud had inaugurated the Yoga and Recreation Hall for officers/officials of the Supreme Court Registry. The Hall is housed in the additional building complex of the Apex Court.
After inaugurating the Hall, the CJI indulged himself in a game of carrom with fellow judges of the top court, while Justice Ajay Rastogi tried his hand at Table-Tennis.
Supreme Court judges, including Justice P.V. Sanjay Kumar, Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah, Justice Dipankar Datta, Justice P.S. Narasimha, Justice Ajay Rastogi and Justice Pankaj Mithal, among others, were present on the occasion.
