New Delhi: Even with the courts adopting all security protocols and even mostly operating virtually with this pandemic, the Covid pandemic can enter through many alternative channels. Today Attorney General KK Venugopal has gone into self quarantine, not because he is Covid positive, but because he has taken this precautionary move when he found that one of his colleague advocates is Covid positive.
The information was relayed to the Supreme Court by Additional Solicitor General SV Raju, even as he sought adjournment in a case concerning appointments to different tribunals.
Later Solicitor General Tushar Mehta has clarified details of how and why Venugopal has gone into quarantine. “The AG is in self isolation as a precaution. Otherwise he himself is fit and fine,” said the Solicitor General.
