Bail in AgustaWestland case: Delhi court wants opinion of CBI, ED

A Special CBI Judge Arvind Kumar sought response from the two probe agencies over two bail applications, filed by Christian Michel James through Advocate Aljo K. Joseph.

ILNS: Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court has sought the response of the CBI and the ED on the bail application filed by Christian Michel James, the middleman for the AgustaWestland deal in which there seems to have been kickbacks involved.

The Rs 3,600 crore VVIP chopper deal case has come under a cloud of investigation and the case has now reached the court.

A Special CBI Judge Arvind Kumar sought response from the two probe agencies over two bail applications, filed by Michel through Advocate Aljo K. Joseph.

The court has now posted the matter for further hearing on May 6.

The probe agencies were represented by Special Public Prosecutors D.P. Singh and Naveen Kumar Matta.
