The Allahabad High Court has ordered the district administration to decide on providing police security to Manoj Kumar Tiwari, a resident of Allapur in Prayagraj. Tiwari had filed a petition in the High Court, demanding protection from the Bachha Pasi gang.
The petition was heard by a division bench of Justice Anjani Kumar Mishra and Justice Prakash Padia. Petitioner’s Advocate Sunil Chaudhary said the Bachha Pasi gang is accused of murder in the Sachin Sonkar murder case in Allapur last year. Tiwari had submitted that the Pasi gang was planning his murder and that a bullet was fired at the petitioner but he survived. He had also lodged an FIR for attempt to murder at Georgetown Police Station.
