The Allahabad High Court on Wednesday issued notice to Additional Chief Secretary Basic Education Renuka Kumar in a case of contempt of court directing her to appear with clarification. The Court has asked them why they should not be accused of punishing them for disobeying the order.
A single bench of Justice VK Birla has passed this order while hearing a contempt petition filed by C/M, Janta Madhyamik Vidhyalay Nagala Sumer Parson Etah And Another.
Commenting on the tendency of the authorities not to comply with the Court order, the bench said that it is often seen that officers do not follow the order in the first place. They force people to file contempt petitions. Even on contempt petition, orders are not followed even after being given the opportunity to follow.
Officers have become adept at disobeying orders. The government will issue a circular to strictly follow the order of the Court, otherwise the Court will be forced to take a tough stand.
The Court on the plea directed to take a decision on grant of financial grant to the Additional Chief Secretary Basic Education in three months.
