The Bombay High Court has issued a notice on Tuesday under which it doubles the number of benches and shifts hearing urgent cases via video conferencing across all benches in order to reduce the physical presence of lawyers, litigants and court staff due to outbreak of COVID19.
The Chief Justice of Bombay High Court, Mr. Dipankar Datta has nominated Judges of Bombay High Court to hear urgent judicial matters, admission matters at the Principal Seat at Bombay through video conferencing.
It was said that if the Board is not exhausted, then the remaining matters will be stand over to the next court working day and the Court taking admission matters will take only 30 matters on Court working day. If more than 30 praecipes are received then the matters of remaining praecipes will be listed on next Court working day.
Also, it was notified that the separate special procedure for hearing of admission matters is published separately on the Bombay High Court website.
