The Bombay High Court issued notice on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed seeking direction to quash the Advertisement issued for the post of Medical Officer in Short Service Commission Medical Officer in Armed Forces Medical Services.
The PIL has been filed by one Bashirkhan Nazirkhan Pathan prayed as under:-
-By issuing writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or directions in the like nature, the Advertisement dated 15.07.2022 issued by the Respondent for the post of Dentist and the Advertisement dated 20.08.2022 issued by the Respondent No.2 for the post of Medical Officer in Short Service Commission Medical Officer in Armed Forces Medical Services, may kindly be quashed and set aside.
-By issuing writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or directions in the like nature, the Respondent may kindly be directed to grant equal opportunity to the Female candidates in the recruitment for the posts of Dentist and Medical Officer in Short Service Commission in Armed Forces Medical Services.
While considering the PIL , the Aurangabad Division Bench of Ravindra V. Ghuge and Justice Sanjay A. Deshmukh issued notice on the PIL.
