The Supreme Court on February 15 declined the plea of VK Sasikala’s counsel KTS Tulsi for granting some time to Sasikala for surrendering in the disproportionate assets case. The apex court had on February 14 upheld the trial court conviction of Sasikala along with other accused and sent them to jail along with a fine.

Tulsi argued that whenever the order of conviction is passed by the court, some time is given to the accused to settle his/her affairs.

The top court, however, said that the “wording” of the conviction order was “immediate” so it was not possible to give her more time.
