Supreme Court stays Rajasthan HC order
The Supreme Court on May 29 stayed a Rajasthan High Court order of moving all cell phone towers from the vicinity of jails.
The Cellular Operators Association of India had moved the apex court against the high court order, claiming that there are more than 500 such towers and 80 lakh customers will be affected if towers are removed.
The apex court bench of Justices AK Sikri and Deepak Gupta has asked the Rajasthan government (respondents) to submit its affidavit within four weeks.
