Police has arrested nine persons, including the domestic help of a District and Sessions Judge from a Court in Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur city, for stealing her car on October 5.
According to Bilaspur Additional Superintendent of Police Umesh Kashyap, the accused were identified as Judge’s maid Pooja Sahu (20), her husband Kamal (21), Rahul Diwakar (18), Dharmendra Divya (18), Shubham Suryavanshi (21), Vinod Sahu (54), Deepak Sahu (21), Jitendra Sahu (20) and Vikas Soni (25).
On October 5, a complaint regarding the theft of Judge Shweta Shrivastava’s car was lodged. Police recovered the car through the chassis number at an abandoned spot near Geeta Palace. The accused were arrested on Sunday.
Police said Kamal has confessed his involvement in the crime and named his wife, who said she was angry because the Judge scolded her. They were also allegedly involved in several theft of motorcycles.
