Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dhananjaya Yeshwant Chandrachud on Saturday said that intended trainings on subjects such as gender sensitisation and Information & Communication Technology (ICT) skills would not only improve the job performance of employees, but would also equip them to foster their personal development.
Delivering the keynote address at the inaugural session of the year-long training programme started by the Supreme Court for its officials, the CJI said that the officers and officials of the Apex Court should deal with the public with empathy and compassion.
He further motivated the employees of the top court of the country to embark on the journey of transformation and growth.
The CJI reiterated his commitment towards making the Supreme Court a fully digitised institution, ensuring its paperless functioning soon.
A one-day workshop on ‘Leadership and Ethics’ was organised by the Apex Court on Saturday, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), as part of the year-long training programme.
The training calendar for 2023-2024 was unveiled with notable trainings planned throughout the year such as Induction Training for newly-joined officers, Legal Training, ICT training, Personal Training and Language Training, among others.
