New Delhi (ILNS): With the hue and cry over stigmatisation of Covid positive patients when authorities stuck posters outside homes, the authorities have now decided to not stick any such poster.
According to reports, authorities said yesterday that such offensive posters will no more be pasted outside homes of Covid positive patients who are in home isolation.
With late realisation dawning upon the authorities, they said that this move was to minimise the stigma attached with posting such posters on the front doors. There are 12,890 such Covid-19 patients under home isolation in the Capital.

On October 1 the Delhi High Court had issued notice to the Delhi government in a Public Interest Litigation seeking protection of the privacy of persons tested positive of COVID-19. The petition had wanted removal of such posters.
India Legal had also taken up the issue and had published a protest article in this regard.
