The Delhi High Court has revived its earlier circular allowing service of all documents, Notices, Summons and Daks to be effected through E-mail, Fax and WhatsApp till April 24.
The Court had directed,
“all documents/ notices/ summons/Daks through physical mode be dispensed with, except where there is a specific order to that effect by the Hon’ble Court, and that such service be instead permitted to be effected through email/fax/whatsapp.”
The Court had further directed that the concerned parties are required to provide necessary E-mail addresses and other details for the purpose.
The procedure of sending documents/summons/Daks through electronic mode will be done by the Despatch Branch/ Process Serving Agency, in coordination with the concerned judicial branches and IT Branch, from their seats, the Court informed in its circular.
