Extension of term of part-time teacher: Allahabad High Court asks govt to reply

Prayagraj (ILNS): The Allahabad High Court has sought a reply from the state government and other respondents on a petition against denial of extension of term of a part-time instructor (art education). The notices were sent by Justice JJ Munir on the plea of Neetu.

The Petitioner argued that other employees’ terms have been renewed, while his term has not been renewed till now. No reason has been given by the authorities in this regard.

The Petitioner said that it was decided to appoint art education instructors on contract from January 31, 2013. The Petitioner was appointed part-time. The extension of the term is mentioned in para 6 of the mandate. But the term has not been extended for some reason since May 2019. Therefore the Petitioner has approached the High Court.

The Petition will be heard on December 2.
