On account of the General Elections 2024, Delhi High Court has declared May 25 as holiday for the High Court, as well as for the courts subordinate to it.
As per a notification issued by Registrar General Kanwal Jeet Arora, the cases listed (including the cases wherein orders/judgments were reserved) before the courts subordinate to the High Court for May 25 (Saturday), shall be taken up on May 27 (Monday), in addition to the cases already fixed for the said date.
Delhi will go to polls on May 25, during the sixth phase of ongoing Parliamentary elections, to elect seven members of the 18th Lok Sabha.
The general elections to choose the 18th Lok Sabha of the largest democracy in the world began on April 19 and will continue till June 1. Counting will take place on June 4.
