ILNS: There will be a welcome addition to the health facilities of the national capital when the Indira Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital gets operational by today, the Delhi government told Delhi High Court on Friday.
The bench of Justices Vipin Sanghi and Rekha Palli was hearing pleas related to the critical Covid-19 situation in Delhi and NCR
Justice Sanghi asked Senior Counsel and Delhi government lawyer Rahul Mehra on the status. Mehra said: “I am informed that yesterday (May 6), we started it (the hospital).”

Advocate Satyakam, however, corrected Mehra and said that the hospital gets operational this evening.
The bench ordered as follows: “It is informed by the state that the operation of hospital will get started today evening. Proper arrangement of bed and other facilities should be looked into. It is also directed to get a break-up of the ventilator and other equipment.”
The matter has been listed again for May 10.
