Justice Ajay Kumar Tripathi, Judicial Member of the Lokpal has been tested positive for coronavirus on Friday night. He was taken to AIIMS Jai Prakash Narayan Apex Trauma Centre. An official from the hospital has reported that his condition is critical and he is on ventilator.
Justice Ajay Kumar Tripathi was the former Chief Justice of the Chattisgarh High Court, he had served as Additional Advocate General for the State of Bihar and was elevated to the post of Additional Judge of the Patna High Court and later became the Chief Justice. He was appointed as the Judicial Member of the Lokpal on 23rd March 2019.
The number of positive coronavirus cases in the country has crossed the 3000 mark with a death toll of 77.
