In a bid to fight the pandemic novel corona virus, people from different walks of life have
commenced donating to PM’s relief fund. In such an attempt, Justice N.V. Ramana, judge of Supreme Court of India today donated Rs. one lakh each toward the PM’s relief fund, Andhra Pradesh CM’s relief fund and Telangana CM’s relief fund by way of cheques. The cheques were handed over by him to concerned officials of the respective Governments.
Justice Ramana has requested the general public to abide by the instructions of Governments and to take proper measures and follow social distancing method so as to effectively fight against COVID-19 with unity. The Prime Minister today also declared creation of a dedicated public assistance fund namely “the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situation Fund” or “PM CARES” which will see the PM as the chairman and Defence Minister, Home Minister & Finance Minister as its members.
