Justice Virendra Kumar Srivastava, a sitting judge of the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court, has passed away due to Covid-19. He had been admitted to PGI Lucknow for an ailment, where he succumbed today.
Justice Srivastava was appointed as Additional Judge on November 22, 2018 and was sworn in as a permanent judge of the Allahabad HC on November 20, 2020.
Justice Srivastava completed his law course in 1986 and post graduation in 1988. In 2005, he was appointed to the Higher Judicial Service and in 2016, was promoted as District and Sessions Judge.

He was subsequently appointed Secretary (Legislative) from September 20, 2016 to November 21, 2018.
