In a 33-year-old theft case, the local court in Maharajganj (U.P.) on Friday sentenced the three accused to one-day imprisonment.
The Court also imposed a fine of Rs 500 each on all three.
The matter belongs to Purandarpur police station area.
According to the media cell of the police office, the Purandarpur police had registered a case under sections 382 and 411 of IPC against three people Budhiram , Sheesh Mohammad and Hamimuddin on the basis of complaint in the year 1989.
The police have imposed punishment against the accused by lobbying effectively under Operation Shikanja.
