New Delhi (ILNS): Rejecting an appeal relief, the Allahabad High Court came down heavily on mob violence and acts of attacking the police. This act of taking the law into their own hands during agitations and attacking the police in the streets with stones, rods, sticks, etc. is an attack on the root of civilised society, said the court.
The court has refused to interfere with the charge sheet and summons order filed in the case of assault on the Police by a mob of about 300 people at the Shiohra Police Station area of Bijnor.
The court said in the case of this incident in Sahaspeer village that the trial Court will take action as per the rules. Also, the Petition filed against the summons order of the subordinate Court seeking cancellation of the charge sheet is dismissed. The Court said that it is clear from looking at the papers presented that people have disobeyed the law and the Police have been attacked.
This order has been given by Justice JJ Munir on the Petition of Shahabuddin and others. The Petitioners said that they were implicated in a fake case for not giving money to the Police for vehicle checking. On behalf of the Government, it was said that three people were coming by motorcycle, on stopping they did not stop the vehicle and pushed and injured a constable.
