Summer vacation at the Madhya Pradesh High Court – including its Indore and Gwalior benches – started today. The vacation will last till June 4. Vacation benches will sit on Mondays and Thursdays.
It is to be noted that according to the High Court calendar, the summer vacation in the year 2021 was scheduled from May 17 to June 11, but in view of the risk of corona infection, the summer vacation was rescheduled from May 10.

Manish Tiwari, Secretary, Madhya Pradesh High Court Bar, Jabalpur, and Senior Advocate Manoj Sharma, High Court Advocates Bar Secretary, wrote a letter to the Chief Justice and stressed on the need for a pre-summer vacation. He argued that the risk of corona infection would deepen in mid-May.
The Chief Justice, while accepting the demand, gave the arrangement for premature summer vacation.
