NCB summons Deepika Padukone’s manager for questioning

Mumbai: Widening its probe into the drug angle involving Bollywood stars the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) today summoned Karishma Prakash manager of Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone, and CEO of KWAN agency Dhruv Chitgopekar for questioning.

A top NCB official said that the duo has been summoned as some WhatsApp chats showed they were allegedly involved in drugs.

The latest development has given rise to speculations of the possible summoning of Deepika too. A WhatsApp conversation has reportedly gone viral where Deepika Padukone is allegedly asking for hash (or hashish, drug made from cannabis plant) from a certain person named ‘K’, who many believe identified as her manager Karishma Prakash.

Yesterday the NCB said that it will summon Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh as well as designer Simone Khambatta this week, after these three were specifically mentioned by Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty during her interrogation by the agency between September 6 and 9. As per sources, the NCB has a list of 25 A-Listers in Bollywood who are under the scanner.

The Narcotics Control Bureau has already arrested Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea, her brother Showik, Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda, personal staff Dipesh Sawant and over 15 others in the case so far.

In addition to the CBI and the ED, NCB is the third agency to probe into the death case of Sushant.

Meanwhile, a Special NDPS court on Tuesday extended the judicial custody of actor Rhea Chakraborty till October 6 in the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.
