The National Company Law Tribunal through its notification on Thursday announced the transfer of 8 NCLT members with immediate effect. The members have been asked to shift to their new stations of posting once the lockdown imposed by the Central and the State government in wake of the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic is lifted.
The transfer has been done in exercise of the powers conferred by the National Company Law Tribunal (Salary, Allowances and other Terms and Conditions of Service of President and other Members) Rules, 2015. Rule 15A lays down the provision for Posting and transfer of Members, stating that Transfer on administrative grounds can be made only in consultation with the Central Government.
The following transfers have been notified:
- Judicial Member BP Mohan has been transferred from NCLT Mumbai to NCLT Amravati
- Judicial Member Mohammed Ajmal has been transferred from NCLT Amravati to NCLT Mumbai
- Judicial Member Sucharita R has been transferred from NCLT Cuttack to NCLT Chennai
- Technical Member Narender Kumar Bhola from NCLT Hyderabad to NCLT New Dew Delhi
- Technical Member Veera Brahmo Rao Arekapudi from NCLT Kochi and NCLT Hyderabad
- Technical Member Virendra Kumar Gupta from NCLT Kolkata to NCLT Ahmedabad
- Technical Member Prasanta Kumar Mohnaty from NCLT to Ahmedabad to NCLT Guwahati
- Judicial Member Venkata Subha Rao from NCLT Guwahati to NCLT Mumbai
