NGT asks its investigating panel to present report on Kasauli

The National Green Tribunal (NGT), headed by Justice Swatanter Kumar, is hearing cases of illegal construction in the hill town of Kasauli in Himachal Pradesh. The cases have been presented in several PILs by the Society for Preservation of Kasauli and its Environs (SPOKE).

On Monday (August 28) the bench ordered that its constituted investigation committee will be present on the next hearing date of August 31 to deliver its report on all the wrongdoings in the area. The committee was given a week’s time to finish inspection.

More hotels were presented with illegal construction. Among them were Hotel Wood Creek, Bliss Hotel (constructed one more unauthorised, storey) and Kasauli Galaxie Resort (also an extra unauthorised storey).

The bench ordered that all documents and certificates of operations to be submitted.
