New Delhi (ILNS): A Circular of the Supreme Court dated November 6 states that there shall be no unauthorized sharing of links by Advocates on Record and parties-in-person without the permission of the Court for hearing of matter through video conferencing.
The circular has been published after it has been observed that the Advocates-on-Records are sharing the links, provided to them for video conferencing, with more than two advocates to appear before the Court during the course of proceeding. The circular further states that it has also been observed that the Advocates are addressing the Court in the matters not listed for hearing on that day.
Such sharing of Video-Conferencing links or sharing of screen, being violative of the Standard Operating Procedure dated July, 2020 , is unauthorised, and creates hindrance in the proceedings of the Court, read the circular.
The circular thus states that “therefore, as directed, it is hereby reiterated to all the Advocates-on-Record, parties-in- person, and all other concerned, that in future there should not be unauthorised sharing of link/screen without permission of the Court, for the hearing of a matter through Video Conferencing mode in violation of the above mentioned Standard Operating Procedure dated 4th July, 2020.”
