The High Court of Orissa has notified that the Court will have restricted functioning from July 20 to July 31 with limited number of benches by virtual mode.
The notice states that the decision has been taken in view of the state government’s order imposing complete lockdown with stringent measures on public movement in the entire jurisdictions of Khurda, Ganjam, Cuttack and Jaipur districts and Rourkela Municipal Corporation.
The High Court has further clarified that it will take up only extremely urgent matters on advance memo of urgency submitted by Advocates and litigants to the Deputy Registrar by e-filing with advanced intimation to the opposite parties.
Similar notice of restricted functioning is being observed by several Courts across the Country.
