A plea has been filed before a Delhi Court seeking directions to the Delhi Police to register an FIR against Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister of AAP-led Delhi Government for posting misleading tweets on social media.
Advocate Alakh Alok Srivastava has filed the complaint before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Rouse Avenue Court under Section 156 (3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 seeking immediate registration of FIR under Sections 153, 153-A, 504 and 505 of the Indian Penal Code 1860.
Sisodia had tagged some pictures of cops pouring some liquid on stationary, damaged buses and blamed BJP for using Delhi police to set fire to the buses. It was subsequently discovered that the policemen were pouring water as well as using fire extinguishers to douse the fire.

Reminding the court of December 15, 2019 when Delhi “witnessed unprecedented unrest, arson and violence in the aftermath of the passage of the historical Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019,” with the “exemplary restraint” exhibited by the Delhi Police personnel in pacifying the unrest with minimum use of force, Srivastava has assailed the Deputy CM for his lapse in judgement in publishing an inflammatory tweet, the same being “utterly baseless and false”.
The complaint accuses the Deputy CM of Delhi of promoting enmity between classes under Section 153, 153-A, 504 and 505 of the Indian Penal Code and other offences under the Information Technology Act 2002.
