A Delhi Court has received a plea against the release of a movie directed by Om Raut Adipurush which is based on the Hindu mythological epic Ramayan but has hurt the religious sentiments of people.The plea has requested for a ban on movie.
The issue began to gear up when the teaser was released. The teaser has received massive flak from viewers for its poor VFX and CGI sequences.
The matter in the case has now escalated as the activists have filed a plea in a Delhi court against the release of the film in theatres.
Plea stated that the defendants(Movie team) have hurt the ‘religious, cultural, historical and civilizational sentiments’ of the plaintiff and Hindus by depicting the Hindu God Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman in an inaccurate manner in the teaser of Adipurush.
The promo of the movie is diabolical and atrocious in nature which is the prima facie reason for it being rejected.The movie is going to be released on January 12, 2023,which the plea says should be outrightly banned in its present form .
The plea states that the teaser is against the religious feelings, sentiments and aspirations of Hindus of India and elsewhere,and thus should be banned with immediate stop.
The film Adipurush will see Prabhas as Rama, Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh(Ravan), Kriti Sanon as Janaki(Sita)and Sunny Singh as Lakshmana.
The movie directed by Om Raut has has contributed to a massive INR500 crore budget along with Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-series, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair.
The movie is slated to hit theatres (IMAX and 3D) on January 12, 2023, in Hindi and Telugu
