The appointment of six judicial officers and three advocates as judges of Rajasthan High Court have been cleared by the Central Government on Friday.
In a tweet shared by the Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju on his Twitter handle, said about the appointments.
The judicial officers who have been appointed are
- Rajendra Prakash Soni
- Ashok Kumar Jain
- Yogendra Kumar Purohit
- Bhuwan Goyal
- Praveer Bhatnagar
- Ashutosh Kumar
The advocates who have been appointed are:
- Ganesh Ram Meena
- Anil Kumar Upman
- Nupur Bhati
The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the appointment of Meena in September 2021.
Rest of the names of the remaining people were recommended by the Collegium on November 23, 2022.
The sanctioned strength of the Rajasthan High Court is of 50 judges however currently working there are 27 judges, and a vacancy position of 23.
