Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Shia Central Board of Wakfs, Syed Waseem Rizvi has written a letter to SHO, Hazrat Nizamuddin Police Station for lodging an FIR against Maulana Saad Kandhalvi, the head of Tablighi Jamaat who allegedly organized religious event that resulted into 11 COVID-19 deaths and over 150 positive COVID-19 cases.
Mr. Rizvi has called the act of Maulana Saad Kandhalvi as Illegal and Whimsical that placed hundreds of COVID-19 patients in close captivity with hundreds of other individuals and barred the, from taking medical advice, under a pre-planned agenda of wagging a terror war against the country by spreading the disease of corona and thereby endangering the lives of score of innocent individuals.
It has been alleged in the letter that Maulana keeping Government guidelines and every other precaution to protect the spread of pandemic at stake instigated the individuals staying in Jamats not to go to the doctors stating the disease as divine intervention which would keep Muslims safe and away from the disease and infect other communities.
Mr. Rizvi also informed SHO that Maulana also sent infected individuals to various parts of the country to spread the disease, without letting admitted ad treated or even quarantined, individuals supporting Maulana also flouted the lockdown and deliberately led to spread of disease at large scale.
Letter seeks lodging of FIR against Maulana and his supporters under section 121 Waging or attempt to wage war, 124A Sedition, 188 Disobedience to order by public servant, 269 spreading infection, 307 Causing death, 302 Murder R/W 120B of The Indian Penal Code.
